The Basic Healthcare Bridge Program is a 65-hour introductory course for adults who are interested in embarking upon or jumpstarting their career in healthcare.

"This interactive course is designed with competencies for entry level direct care work in the long term care sector," stated Jean Peters, Coordinator of Healthcare RSA which administrates the course.

The course is excellent for individuals who are not sure if they have the aptitude for direct care work. Graduates of the course provided knowledge about many types of jobs in healthcare and gain the ability to make informed decisions about which career path they would like to pursue, such as nursing, or an allied health field such as pharmacy technician, medical transcriptionist or physician's assistant.
