A Regional Skills Alliance (RSA) is a group of partners from the private and public sectors, committed to finding solutions to workforce issues in a particular industry sector.

Healthcare RSA
In Northwest Michigan, the first RSA has been devoted to the healthcare industry, which is the region's fastest growing labor market. In 2004, the Healthcare Regional Skills Alliance of Northwest Michigan was formed, fueled by a state grant of $88,000 from the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth.

Hospitality RSA
The Hospitality Regional Skills Alliance (RSA) fosters partnerships and collaboration between employers, educational providers and the workforce development community to address the training, employment and other human resource interests of the hospitality industry in Northwest Michigan.

KAL•TEC
The second RSA was developed after identifying an above average need for professional workforce development in Kalkaska County. KAL•TEC is a community program designed to bring educational opportunities to adults in Kalkaska. Several community partners, including public and private sector agencies and educational institutions, have joined forces to deliver this exciting new program.
